چکیده
Bacteria usually colonize wounds, and their low level is beneficial to the wound healing process. Thus, antibacterial agents are applied wounds. In Philippines, many herbal plants used speed up With number, literature revealed no scientific study yet on which among these could well inhibit bacteria. Hence, this focused phytochemical screening activity of ethanolic extracts six plants, namely: Caesalpinia sappan Linn. (Sibukao), Jatropha curcas (Tuba-tuba), Lantana camara (Kantutay), Mimosa pudica (Makahiya), Moringa oleifera Lam. (Malunggay), Psidium guajava (Guava). Betadine was as positive control. Qualitative analysis antimicrobial assay bacteria using agar diffusion method were employed from extracts. Results that phytochemicals, namely alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, tannins, present in plant except for anthraquinones. Furthermore, showed bacteria, P. leaf extract exhibited most significant effect treatments greater than control (Betadine solution). On other hand, all have a lower antibiotic index when compared with Amikacin 30mcg Erythromycin 15 mcg. However, extract, five remarkably higher Penicillin 10 U. It concluded studied varying levels activities promote healing.
